Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A pilot project for the implementation of electronic prescriptions has been launched in Qibray district of Tashkent region, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.
The initiative aims to digitalize the process of prescribing and dispensing medication.
At the initial stage, the project covers one medical facility and eight pharmacies.
The introduction of electronic prescriptions will minimize errors in issuing prescriptions through automated selection of drugs based on international non-proprietary names (INN). Patients will be able to access their prescriptions through the DMED mobile application.
In addition, the project will ensure pharmacies receive timely updates on the medications dispensed, with the ability to record information in real-time.
