Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presidential resolution “On measures for further development of the tax consulting sphere” was adopted on 30 September.

In accordance with the resolution, from 1 January 2021, the following functions of the Ministry of Finance are transferred to the Chamber of Tax Consultants of Uzbekistan:

- conducting qualification exams for obtaining a tax advisor qualification certificate and issuing a certificate;

- approval of training and professional development programs for tax consultants;

- keeping the register of tax consultants.

It is not allowed to terminate the qualification certificate of a tax consultant for not participating in tax consulting activities for three years, if he carries out labor activities in the state of lawyers' formations, audit organizations.

According to the resolution, a list of tax consultant organizations entitled to issue an opinion on taxes in case of voluntary liquidation of taxpayers will be kept.

Conclusions on taxes of organizations of tax consultants included in the List, upon voluntary liquidation of taxpayers with an annual turnover of up to 1 billion soums over the past three years (excluding taxpayers with a high level of risk), determined by means of an automated information system "risk analysis", will be recognized tax authorities.

From 1 January 2021, the subject “Tax Consulting” will be introduced into the 4-year undergraduate curricula in the areas of "Tax and Taxation" and "Accounting and Auditing" of the Tashkent State Economic University and the Tashkent Financial Institute.
