Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 2 June, in Samarkand region, a ninth-grader, behind the wheel of his father’s car, hit a six-year-old girl, who was crossing the road, at high speed.

The incident occurred in the "Yangihayat" mahalla of Urgut district of Samarkand region.

The schoolboy took his father’s Nexia-2 car without permission and drove onto the street, where the collision occurred. Moving at high speed, he hit the girl who was crossing the road.

After the accident, the girl was hospitalized with injuries. Despite the efforts of the doctors, she died from the injuries sustained.

A criminal case has been initiated. Currently, preliminary investigative measures are being carried out.
