A new concrete pouring record has been set

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Tashkent region, Enter Engineering continues the construction of a copper processing plant (MOF-3) for the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant (AMMC). Today this is one of the largest industrial projects in Uzbekistan, implemented by Enter Engineering.

Today, construction and installation work is at its peak at the construction site of the future factory - production buildings and infrastructure facilities are being erected, and basic technological equipment is being installed.

“As part of the general construction work, large-scale concreting work is being carried out,” said project manager Alisher Yodgorov. — So recently another remarkable event took place - the pouring of the foundation and crossbars took place at the facility of the small screening building (KMG). A characteristic feature of this event is the fact that this operation became the largest in terms of volume ever carried out in our country. During it, 14 thousand cubic meters of concrete were used!

To successfully carry out the operation, a complex of preparatory work was organized - calculations were made and a technological map was planned, personnel and equipment were mobilized, and a supply of inert materials was made. Previously, the installation (tying) of the formwork and the volumetric reinforcement frame of the foundation and crossbars was done. More than 1,600 specialists and more than 80 units of various construction and auxiliary equipment were directly involved in the pouring process.

Over the course of 24 hours, the concrete mixture was continuously delivered to the site, where it was pumped directly to the areas prepared for pouring using pumps. Such a large task required significant effort from the entire construction team, but thanks to clear planning and coordinated actions, it was successfully completed.

The implementation of this largest project will contribute to the increase in AGMK ore processing volumes to 160 million tons per year, which will further increase the production of copper cathode to 400 thousand tons per year.
