Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov arrived in the capital of Austria, Dunyo news agency reports.

Before his appointment to Vienna, he served as Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN in New York (2017–2023). He is 57 years old. He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of National Economy (now Tashkent State Economic University).

He began working in the MFA system in 1992. He worked in various positions in the central office of the ministry, as well as in the embassies of Uzbekistan in the USA and South Korea.

Has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Bakhtiyor Ibragimov replaced Abat Fayzullayev, who served as ambassador in Vienna in 2020-2023.
