Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A National Guard employee was injured while trying to break up a fight among schoolchildren. The incident occurred on 1 March at school No. 4 of the Bogishamol mahalla in the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region.

A National Guard member tried to break up a fight among high school students.

The employee was injured as a result of an attack by 20-year-old B.I., the older brother of one of the school students.

B.I. did not study at this school, but entered its territory.

During the incident, citizens, including B.I., who resisted the National Guard officers, were detained and taken to the police department.

The Zangiata District Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on resistance to a government official.

National Guard employees held a meeting with parents, teaching staff and responsible representatives of the educational institution, discussing measures to prevent similar situations in the future.

Efforts are ongoing to identify other persons involved in the incident.
