Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A woman was found hanged in her home in Jizzakh region, and her one-year-old child was found with stab wounds in the abdomen, the regional Department of Family and Women Affairs said.

Before hanging herself, the woman called her husband. She stated that she was going to commit suicide.

The woman’s husband contacted his uncle who lives next door. Arriving at the house, the citizen found the daughter-in-law hanged.

Law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene in the village of Hasankal of the Ravallik mahalla.

An investigation is currently underway to ascertain all the circumstances of the incident.
