A Ministerial Conference in the C5+1 format is being held in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit to Uzbekistan of USAID Administrator Samantha Power to Uzbekistan, the Ministerial Conference in the C5+1 format on regional connectivity in Central Asia began its work today at the Silk Road Samarkand Congress Center to discuss specific actions that promote inclusive and sustainable economic development.

The Development Ministerial aims to strengthen this platform by bringing together ministers from all five countries in the region to take concrete action to stimulate inclusive and sustainable economic development in Central Asia, with a focus on regional connectivity and sovereignty, trade, economic growth and entrepreneurship, climate and energy solutions, as well as opportunities for young people.

“Today’s Development Ministerial will strengthen this platform by bringing together ministers from all five countries in the region to take concrete action to drive inclusive, sustainable economic development in Central Asia, with a focus on regional connectivity, trade, economic growth and entrepreneurship, climate and energy solutions, as well as opportunities. for youth,” said Samantha Power.

Created in 2015, the C5+1 format serves as a multilateral mechanism for interaction between Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the United States. The dialogue focuses on issues of economic development, regional cooperation and security.
