Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 June 2024, negotiations were held between Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and a delegation of the VISA led by Anton Borozdin, senior director for business development in Central Asia.

At the meeting, the results of the preparatory work of the joint Working Group on the digital transformation of tourism were summed up. 

Further steps were discussed to exchange data on tourist traffic, increase the “average bill” of a tourist, promote new products and services of the tourism industry, as well as joint marketing campaigns about tourism potential and promoting non-cash payments along the tourist route.

As a result, a corresponding memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and the VISA.
