Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 October, a meeting was held in Moscow between the management of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC and Russian Railways OJSC, where a memorandum on the development of mutual cooperation was concluded. This was reported by the information and analytical media center of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

The delegation of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari was headed by the Chairman of the Board Z. Narzullaev, and from the side of Russian colleagues the head of Russian Railways OJSC O. Belozerov was present at the meeting.

The document signed by the parties is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of railway transportation between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as the development of multimodal transport corridors and digitalization of the industry.

The memorandum envisages the development of bilateral and transit communications between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as the realization of the potential of existing and the development of promising international transport corridors. The parties also intend to cooperate in the field of digitalization and exchange of experience in reforming railway transport. Education and training will also be an important aspect of cooperation.

During the meeting, Z. Narzullaev and O. Belozerov discussed the current cooperation between the companies and expressed their readiness to continue the development of railway transport corridors. They also discussed issues of interaction in the field of information technology and digitalization, as well as cultural and humanitarian programs.

The signing of the memorandum opens up new prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and Russian Railways. Both parties expressed confidence in the successful development of the partnership and the achievement of mutual interests in the field of railway transportation.
