Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek-Korean international IT forum "New Uzbekistan and prospects for the development of information technologies" was held today, 27 May, at Inha University in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum was signed between the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Research Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Republic of Korea (ETRI).
The signing of the document was attended by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov and Park Jong Hyun, Vice President of the Research Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Republic of Korea.
The main goal of the Memorandum is the implementation of agreements on mutually beneficial cooperation, the development of IT education, the strengthening of political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea in December 2021.
The main directions of the Memorandum are attracting large companies from the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan and expanding their activities in the field of BPO. This also includes the development of digitalization in Uzbekistan, the development of artificial intelligence and further cooperation in the field of ICT.
The signing of this memorandum will serve to further develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of ICT.
