Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During today’s meeting between the Banking and Finance Academy and Kazan Federal University, the parties discussed several priority joint areas of cooperation, such as:
- development and implementation of joint educational programs and scientific programs in the field of education;
- conducting joint scientific research;
- participation in the network form of the implementation of educational programs;
- participation and implementation of international educational, research and scientific and technical projects, congresses, symposia, conferences, seminars, as well as the exchange of educational and scientific literature.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which will allow combining the efforts of the Banking and Finance Academy and the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University in joint work on training qualified personnel and conducting scientific research.
The signing ceremony was attended by Rector of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Timur Yadgarov, Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, BFA staff, journalists.
By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Approval of the Concept of Development of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020 - 2025" it is determined that the Banking and Finance Academy is the basic higher educational institution for the training of highly qualified specialists and managers of the banking and financial system.
For 25 years, the Academy has trained more than 4 thousand masters-leaders for the country’s economy. Today, dozens of graduates of the Academy are heads of banking and financial organizations, local government bodies.
The competition for admission to the Academy last year exceeded all expectations and exceeded 30 people per place. The best of the best were admitted to the Academy and are now undergoing training in an innovative program, in which more than 50% of the curriculum is accounted for by foreign practicing teachers from the USA, Switzerland and Russia. Most of the students of the Academy combine study and work in order to be able to quickly implement their developments into practice and solve the strategic tasks of transformation in their workplace.
Students of the Academy study subjects that are taught only in the most innovative foreign universities: artificial intelligence and big data for bankers, design thinking, digital banking, new financial technologies, career management, professional ethics and anti-corruption.
Research activities are developing, international conferences are held on an ongoing basis on such topical issues in the development of the industry as: "New financial architecture 2030", "Modernization of the banking system", as well as "Professions of the future in the banking and financial sector."
The Academy is actively strengthening its international image by cooperating with international partners and increasing its scientific potential. A new foreign partner in this direction is Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Russian Federation.
Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University is a federal state autonomous educational institution of higher professional education, which was founded in 1804. The university is one of the oldest Russian universities. In 2019, the university ranked second in Russia in terms of the number of foreign students.
In recent years, the University has been actively promoting interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary dialogue with foreign partners in the framework of joint programs and scientific activities. It is worth noting the high international rating of the university. In 2021, according to the ranking of the prestigious QS Top Universities, the university took 347 place in the world. In Russia, the university is in the top 10. Also, the university has international prestigious accreditation ACCA (Global Association of Professionals in Finance and Accounting).
