Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A memorandum of cooperation between the International Teqball Federation, the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan was signed in Tashkent.

The event was attended by the Secretary General of the International Teqball Federation Junior Marius-Vizer, the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov, the Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasymov, the Deputy Chairman of the NOC, the head of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Kamilov and famous football players of the recent past.

At the beginning of the event, Sherzod Shermatov expressed his opinion on the memorandum.

“Before the start of the event, I was convinced once again that this is a very interesting sport. I believe that teqball will become the favorite game of all students. With the help of it, we can combine 5-6 sports at once. And this is very important in the process of promoting a healthy lifestyle among students and organizing their leisure time,” said the Minister of Public Education.

Also, the NOC Secretary General shared his thoughts on bilateral cooperation.

“We express our gratitude to the Teqball Federation for taking the initiative in popularizing this sport in Uzbekistan. Indeed, this sport is developing very rapidly all over the world. Teqball is very suitable for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, which is put forward by our Honorable President. This sport may enter the program of the Asian and Olympic Games in the future. We are very glad to cooperate with you. "

Also, the Secretary General of the International Teqball Federation spoke about the significance of the memorandum and the responsibilities of the parties. According to the agreement, the international organization will soon provide Uzbekistan with 10,000 inventories. And the Ministry of Public Education and the NOC will cooperate to popularize this sport in our country.

Then the parties signed a memorandum. At the end of the event, former footballers of the Uzbekistan national team Farhod Tojiev, Timur Kopadze and Islom Inomov familiarized themselves with the rules of teqball in detail and played together with representatives of an international organization.
