Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 May, a meeting with a delegation from Kazakhstan headed by First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Anuar Akhmetzhanov was held at the Tashkent city khokimiyat.
Deputy khokim of the city of Tashkent for the implementation of information technologies - head of the department "Digital development" Sardor Abdullayev received the delegation of Kazakhstan.
In his welcoming speech, Abdullayev thanked the guests for their interest in Tashkent, expressed hope for using the colossal potential of cooperation in the field of information technology and introduced the work in the direction of "Digital Tashkent". In particular - with the creation of the Geoportal, the integration of services and services into a single system, the connection of air purity control sensors, the People’s Control service and the creation of the Situation Center.
In response, Anuar Akhmetzhanov thanked for the warm welcome and noted that decisions are made by managers, but they are embodied "on the ground" by specific performers, so the guests wanted to meet with the khokimiyat employees who are directly involved in the implementation of IT solutions. He also noted that the concept of "Smart City", which unites 110 directions, is being successfully promoted in the Republic of Kazakhstan. A peculiarity of Kazakhstan can be considered the introduction of individual solutions in the regions of the Republic in such a way that others do not duplicate the steps taken by someone, but transfer them to other regions and scale to the entire Republic. Also in Kazakhstan, the problem of electronic payment for travel in public transport has been solved, this was facilitated by the establishment of a tariff for payment in cash twice as high as electronic. The implementation gave many advantages: transparency of work, rhythm of movement, tax collection and so on.
In addition, the guests spoke about a good example of Shymkent, which is close to us - it has introduced a water metering system, which made it possible to reduce water consumption by 2-3 times. All works were carried out by private companies.
In Kazakhstan, databases on vehicle movements have been created, which makes it possible to design urban processes without the formation of traffic jams. This, in turn, reduces road traffic deaths, reduces CO2 emissions and optimizes traffic.
Also, the first vice minister was invited to cooperate in the field of IT solutions, and representatives of private companies that are part of the delegation of neighbors expressed interest in cooperation and implementation of their solutions, well suited to the realities of Tashkent.
At the end of the official part of the meeting, it continued in the format of communication between the members of the delegation of Kazakhstan and the employees of the Department of Digital Development of the Tashkent city administration to establish closer contacts with a view to further cooperation.
