A meeting with the delegation of Germany was held in the capital’s khokimiyat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov met with a delegation led by Natalie Pavlik, co-chairman for issues of migrants and national minorities in the federal government of Germany.

Shavkat Umurzakov noted that the relations between our countries and peoples are improving thanks to multifaceted friendship and cooperation. He stressed that the existing relations will expand and improve in the future, thanks to intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents in the field of economy, finance, education and innovation, as part of the visit of the head of our state to Germany.

Also, speaking about the effective results of the work of German companies operating today in Uzbekistan and Tashkent, the activities of the Goethe Institute and other centers, about the attention paid to the German language and culture in our country and in the capital, he assured of the support and readiness for joint work of the Tashkent Khokimiyat in various fields such as culture, education, industry, business, tourism. He drew attention to the achievements in ensuring the movement of environmentally friendly transport, the dual education system in Germany, and also said that in our country, in particular, in Tashkent, large-scale work is planned in this direction.

Natalie Pavlik said that her trip to Uzbekistan was full of impressions, noted the wonderful architecture of Tashkent, the hospitality of our people and other aspects, and since she is a representative of science, she said that she was ready to work together to develop relations in this direction. She also expressed her gratitude for the high attention paid to the German language and culture in Uzbekistan and suggested opening a "German House" in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the parties received answers to their questions and stated that the mutual practical dialogue would continue.
