Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 April, the Acting Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov.

Welcoming the guests, Shavkat Umurzakov expressed gratitude for the visit and said that the effective dialogue between the heads of our states Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin has created a solid base for the modern pace of development of relations between our countries. He also noted that the administration of the capital supports the presence and development of Russian business in Tashkent, is ready to study in detail all proposals and projects in the field of digitalization, tourism, scientific and technological development, medicine, education, cultural and humanitarian interaction.

Malginov thanked for the meeting and said: in the light of the active development of mutual economic, trade, political and other ties between our countries, it is advisable to activate the dialogue between the capital of Uzbekistan and the regions of the Russian Federation. Separately, noting the interest of Russian enterprises in cooperation in the field of renewal and development of energy infrastructure, he expressed readiness for full support and cooperation in this direction.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom Central Asia", which will be held on 24-26 April in Tashkent, will become a favorable platform for achieving the above goals.
