“When I reported on the holding of the 5th Conference of Ministers of Labor and on the planned participation of more than 40 member countries of the OIC and international organizations, the leadership of our country especially emphasized the importance of the participation of two fraternal countries - Turkey and Uzbekistan,” noted S. Babayev. Continuing the conversation, the Minister of Labor of Azerbaijan expressed sincere gratitude for the high-level organization of his visit to Uzbekistan in October 2023, during which he was able to visit the Ishga Markhamat monocenter in Samarkand, where he got acquainted with the infrastructure of Uzbekistan for organizing vocational training for the unemployed.

“I was impressed by the scale of the measures you are implementing to organize vocational training for the unemployed and the uniqueness of the “mono-centers” provided to students of the entire cycle of services to promote their employment. We would like to apply this experience when creating a Vocational Training Center in Karabakh, the concept of which was recently developed by us,” emphasized the Minister of Labor of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the meeting, bilateral agreements were reached on regulating labor relations, organizing inspections by ensuring transparency, and introducing innovative methods of monitoring compliance with labor laws.

The parties agreed to develop and approve a “Joint Roadmap” for specific measures and their implementation.

As part of the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Agency for Sustainable and Responsive Social Security (DOST), during which they presented their experience in providing more than 140 types of services in the field of employment, social protection and pensions, including the provision of benefits and scholarships based on the one-stop-shop principle.

Here, all services related to employment, social protection, benefits, including scholarships and pensions, are distributed according to the one-stop-shop principle.

Based on this experience of Azerbaijan, cooperation will be established in Uzbekistan to create a comprehensive digital service center in the field of employment.
