Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 March, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov met with representatives of the delegation headed by the General Director of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) Akhmed al Shamsi.

The dialogue was attended by ADSSC Commercial Director Abdulwahab Sharif, Financial Director of the company Philip da Costa, General Director of Environmental Infrastructure of MARUBENI Corporation Sunjiro Shibata.

One of the main areas of the agenda of the meeting was the implementation of projects for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Tashkent, as well as their technical and financial support.

In particular, the parties discussed issues of technical cooperation with a number of leading companies in the US, Japan and Europe, which have extensive experience in the field of water supply in ongoing projects, the duration of projects and the conditions for their financing.

Also during the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the efficient use of land in the construction of a network of drainage facilities, attracting private investment in the industry, high European standards and green technologies, analyzing the main directions of infrastructure development, and developing alternative models for project implementation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the development of the water supply sector.
