Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the Minister of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobir Islamov and the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Abbas Aliabadi with the participation of representatives of interested departments of both countries.

Issues of ferrous metallurgy, production of value-added copper products through deep processing of copper, joint geological exploration for metals and non-metallic raw materials, development of deposits and other areas of mutual interest were discussed.

Agreements were reached on further strengthening cooperation in the field of mining and geology.
