Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance with representatives of the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group.

It was attended by employees of the ministry led by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jasur Karshibaev, as well as the head of investment projects of the International Finance Corporation in the regions of Central Asia and Turkey Alan Nunke, the head of investment projects in the Central Asian region Cem Levent Egritag, senior specialists of the financial sector Ulugbek Tilyaev, Katerina Levitanskaya and Maria Turetskaya.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of mutual cooperation, in particular the further development of relations in the mortgage lending market.

Initially, foreign partners were informed about the nature of the large-scale reforms being implemented in the economic sphere in recent years, including the tasks of increasing the role of the private sector in ensuring economic growth. In addition, an exchange of views took place on the further development of the mortgage market of Uzbekistan in the coming years.

As a result of the discussions, which took place in an open and sincere spirit, an agreement was reached to continue bilateral cooperation.
