Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 March, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Oybek Khamraev met with Deputy Director of China Construction Xiang Shangmou at the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

CSCEC Construction and Engineering Corporation was established in 1982, is the world's largest group of investment and construction corporations and is directly subordinate to the government of China. In 2021, the total value of CSCEC contracts reached US$450.5 billion. The company is ranked 13th on the Fortune 2021 list of the world's 500 largest companies.

During the meeting, the prospects for the participation of a Chinese company in the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan in the construction of urban and transport infrastructure were discussed.

The Chinese side expressed interest in participating in the joint implementation of projects in these areas with the introduction of innovative developments and best practices. In turn, the Uzbek side expressed readiness to support investment initiatives and further activities of the Chinese company in our country.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue cooperation on the preparation of joint projects.
