Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 26 April 2023, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman Rashid Amer Al-Muslhi.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdul Rahim and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Buraim Department.

During the meeting, issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, in particular, customs duties for export-import operations.

Mr. Rashid Amer Al-Muslhi suggested organizing a mutual business mission to Uzbekistan and Oman, during which entrepreneurs from both countries will have a unique opportunity to get to know the local market and investment potential closer.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan accepted this proposal, and also noted that it fully supports the idea of organizing a visit of business circles both to Uzbekistan and Oman. Also, in order to further strengthen relations between our organizations, it was agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the near future. The foreign side offered a platform for signing a business forum held in September of this year. in Oman.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold additional meetings via videoconferencing to further discuss the details of cooperation.
