A meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the CIS was held in Kyrgyzstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 October, a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Bishkek of the Kyrgyz Republic.

A delegation of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, took part in the meeting.

In accordance with the agenda, an exchange of views took place on the state and prospects of multilateral relations within the CIS, and current issues of practical cooperation were discussed.

In today’s conditions, it is important to see coordinated measures and non-standard solutions to ensure stable development of the CIS countries.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his speech at the CIS summit held on 13 October in Bishkek, put forward a number of initiatives to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation within the Commonwealth.

In his speech, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov called for joint efforts to implement these initiatives.

These initiatives are aimed at developing cooperation between the Commonwealth countries in trade, economic, investment, transport, industrial cooperation and other areas.

Following the meeting, it was announced that the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS will be held in Turkmenistan in May 2024.

A number of documents were signed aimed at expanding cooperation within the CIS.
