Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS took place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

This is the second meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers this year within the framework of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the Commonwealth.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers of the CIS member states exchanged views on issues of the international agenda and interaction in the Commonwealth format, and will also consider draft decisions submitted to the meetings of the Council of Heads of Government and the Council of CIS Heads of State.

As part of interregional cooperation, the meeting approved:

Agreement on the establishment of the International Center for Risk Assessment of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

Agreement on the formation of the Coordination Council of the CIS Member States in the field of forensic activities;

Interstate program of joint measures to combat crime for 2024–2028 for subsequent submission to the Heads of State for signature;

The Agreement on the Establishment of the International Organization for the Russian Language was agreed upon.

The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS on 12 April 2024 in Minsk.
