Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yesterday, on 9 December, a running competition under the slogan "I am a winner" was held in Tashkent, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Defender of the Motherland Day.
Servicemen and lovers of a healthy lifestyle took part in the competition. This tournament, aimed at further strengthening the promotion of mass sports among the population, according to the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation, was organized at a distance of 9400 meters. According to the regulations of the event, the composition of each team consisted of 30 participants, including 3 professional athletes and 3 female athletes.
As for the results of the competition, in the overall standings among men, a representative of the Ministry of Defense, Shorukh Davlatov, won the gold medal, and in the women's part of the competition, Alina Khakimova, who was part of the National Guard, rose to the first step of the podium.
