Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man was detained in Bekabad district of Tashkent region for trying to sell counterfeit 100,000 soum banknotes.

The detainee, a resident of Khavast district of Syrdarya region A.R., produced 250.8 million counterfeit soums, which he intended to sell for 100 million soums.

Employees of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan, regional departments of the customs committee and internal affairs conducted this operational event.
