Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A man in Tashkent was sentenced to three days of administrative detention for sexual harassment in the metro.
The incident occurred at the "Amir Temur" station on the Chilanzar metro line. The 34-year-old man grabbed an unknown woman by her lower body in a train carriage.
The Mirzo-Ulugbek District Criminal Court reviewed the case and found the defendant guilty of sexual harassment under Article 41-1 of Uzbekistan’s Code of Administrative Offenses.
During the court session, the defendant claimed that his actions were unintentional, acknowledged the consequences of his behavior, and requested a lighter sentence.
The court sentenced him to three days of administrative detention.
