Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed the project for an international tourism center planned for the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
With the expansion of international connections and infrastructure development, Uzbekistan’s tourism potential is rapidly growing. One of the most attractive tourist destinations is the Bostanlyk district, which, thanks to the Charvak Reservoir, rivers, snow-capped mountains, and picturesque forests, is an ideal location for year-round leisure.
In recent years, with government support, many new complexes have been established in the district, including the "Amirsay" and "Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai" resorts. Over the past five years, more than 2 trillion soums have been invested in the Bostanlyk district, resulting in the construction of 59 new tourism facilities, providing 13,000 new beds.
These successes have attracted the attention of foreign investors, opening up new opportunities for large-scale projects. Azerbaijani entrepreneur Emin Agalarov, along with other major investment companies, has expressed interest in building the international tourism center "Sea Breeze Uzbekistan" on the shores of the Charvak Reservoir.
The project includes the development of recreational zones, beaches, sports facilities, hotels, cottages, and residential complexes. There are also plans to open international brand stores, restaurants, and service points. The center will host various festivals, concerts, and cultural events. A bridge will be built across the bay for visitor convenience, and in the future, the center is expected to become a unique year-round tourism hub.
The President supported the project and emphasized the need for phased development of the center, drawing on international experience. He instructed the formation of a commission, led by the Prime Minister, to develop the legal framework for the project’s implementation and assist in addressing infrastructure issues.
