Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An incident involving a "KAMAZ" truck occurred in Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, which completely burned down due to a short circuit in the engine compartment.
The accident happened on 27 September 2024, at approximately 1:50 PM on the 1029 km stretch of the M-39 "Tashkent-Termiz" highway, which runs through the Gallaaral district.
The driver, born in 1983 and a resident of Samarkand city, was heading towards Tashkent. As a result of the short circuit in the vehicle’s engine compartment, a fire broke out, leading to the total destruction of the truck. Fortunately, the driver and other individuals were unharmed.
Authorities are currently on-site working to establish the circumstances of the incident. Traffic on the highway in this area has been temporarily restricted.
