A joint action plan was signed between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of higher education, science and innovation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin adopted a Joint Statement on deepening relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. In the presence of the heads of state, an exchange of 10 documents adopted between the governments and ministries of the two countries took place.

In particular, between the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, an exchange of a Joint Action Plan took place, signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Federation.

This Joint Action Plan is aimed at implementing agreements in the field of higher education, science and innovation for 2023-2025.

On the basis of this Joint Action Plan, relations between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of science, higher education and innovation will be further strengthened, as well as large-scale cooperation projects will be implemented.

In addition, the President of the Kurchatov Institute Mikhail Kovalchuk and the Minister of Higher Education of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation.

It is worth noting that to date, good results have been demonstrated in competitions for joint scientific projects conducted in cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. Based on the results of a joint competition organized on the basis of the Agreement (RFBR), 17 projects out of 82 were selected, and the selected scientific projects were financed.

The signing of new documents will speed up and expand the scope of work in this direction.
