Technovation is the largest international technology competition for girls, which is held in Uzbekistan for the second time. Every year, Technovation organizes a contest of social projects for teams of girls from all over the world.
Girls learn to notice and solve problems in their communities through technology (create a mobile application, write a business plan for the project, shoot a video about the project) and present it in the final of the competition.

nsive seminar Ideathon was held for potential participants of the second season of the Technovation competition. The event was attended by girls aged 10-18 years and potential mentors of Technovation Uzbekistan contest.
The event was held with the support of Inha University in Tashkent, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, and the UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan.
Within two days, about 180 participants of Ideathon received information about the Technovation contest and knowledge of how to identify important social problems of the region. The invited experts shared their knowledge on design thinking and introduction of innovations in solving social problems.
Participants and mentors of Technovation Uzbekistan shared their experience in team building and work planning, and also gave their advice on preparation for the international competition.
Participants also had an opportunity to talk with successful women from such sphere as science, IT and technology, who shared their experience and knowledge.
Registration of participants to Technovation Uzbekistan contest will finish in January 2018. Registered participants will take part in various events and master classes in January 2018.
In February-April, participants and their mentors will work on their projects and take part in master classes on business planning, presentation skills, and mentoring. The participants should submit their ready projects to judges of international contest via technovationchallenge.org platform.
In May 2018, the participants of Technovation Uzbekistan will present their projects to representatives of the local jury, who will select winners in several nominations. The best team from Uzbekistan will receive valuable prizes and a chance to win a trip to San Francisco.
