Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A gastronomic festival and competition "Restaurant of the Year 2022" was held in Tashkent in the Ankhor-Lokomotiv park. This event contributes to the development of gastronomic tourism in the country and the formation of a healthy competitive environment among restaurants.
The festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Association of Gastronomic Tourism of Uzbekistan, was attended by 10 restaurants, representatives of the restaurant business and tourism, representatives of various diplomatic embassies and residents of the city were also invited.
In the competition, the finalists decorated the tasting tables based on the menu and concept of their restaurants, after which the jury evaluated the dishes.
The winners in the nominations "Best Restaurant of European Cuisine of the Year", "Best Restaurant of National Cuisine", "Best Exemplary Waiter" were awarded with souvenirs, diplomas and figurines.
Restaurants awarded in the National Cuisine category:
1st place - "Majnuntol" - Kashkadarya region
2nd place - "Qirq chinor" - Navoi region, and "Zamin" - Namangan region
3rd place - "Anjir" - Tashkent city
In the Foreign Cuisine category, the following were recognized as worthy of victory:
1st place - "Andara" - Bukhara region
2nd place - "Las Vegas" - Karakalpakstan, and "Zarafshon" - Navoi region
3rd place - "Qanotchi" - Tashkent city
