Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A fire occurred in the Zarafshan National Natural Park in Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.
The regional emergency management department received a signal about a fire in the tugai thickets on the banks of the Zarafshan River, and six fire and rescue crews were sent to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
According to the results of the preliminary investigation, the amount of damage caused to nature is estimated at 120.7 million soums.
In connection with this, a criminal case has been initiated, which is under the control of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan.
