Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A traffic accident involving a train occurred in Altiaryk district of Ferghana region. This was reported by the Millar program.

The incident occurred at a railway crossing located between the Altiaryk and Margilan railway stations.

The driver of the Damas was waiting for the railway crossing to open, which was closed due to an approaching train.

The Cobalt car, moving at high speed, collided with the Damas. The force of the impact caused Damas to roll under the oncoming train.

The Damas driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and died.

The culprit of the accident fled the scene without assisting the Damas driver.

Law enforcement authorities detained the driver of the Cobalt. A criminal case has been initiated against him under several articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
