Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has developed a draft regulation “On the framework conditions for the provision of mortgage loans to the population” and has been posted for discussion on the portal www.regulation.gov.uz.

The regulation was developed jointly with specialists from the Asian Development Bank on the basis of studying best foreign practices and contains general conditions and rules for the provision of mortgage loans to households by commercial banks.

The regulation also defines the areas of mortgage lending, the stages of registration, analysis of the solvency of the borrower and risk management associated with the distribution of mortgage loans.
