Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted a draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amending the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Microfinance”.

On 18 February, at the next plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amending the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Microfinance ”was adopted in the second and third reading.

This draft law was developed in accordance with paragraph 5 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to increase the availability of microfinance services” dated 23 July 2019 No. PP-4400 and is aimed at improving the legal framework and increasing the amount of microfinancing.

The introduced changes will contribute to meeting the growing needs of the population and businesses in microfinance services.
