Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Iran Fariddin Nasriev took part in the 286th meeting of permanent representatives of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Dunyo news agency reported.

At the meeting, issues of ensuring the implementation of a number of initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 16th ECO Summit, held in Tashkent on 9 November 2023, were discussed.

The participants exchanged views on a number of events that will be held in Shakhrisabz on 25-27 April in connection with the declaration of this city as a tourist capital of Economic Cooperation Organization in 2024.

Ambassador Fariddin Nasriev informed the participants about the reforms being implemented by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and emphasized the relevance of the implementation of the initiatives put forward by the head of our country within the framework of the ECO.

Issues of developing interregional and multilateral cooperation and implementing joint measures within the Organization were also discussed.
