Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat Association took part in the international exhibition Polshoes Footwear Days, which is taking place these days in Krakow, Poland. The goal is to further expand the export of finished leather, footwear, fur and leather goods produced in our country to the European market and the implementation of investment projects with potential EU companies.

Within the framework of the international exhibition, representatives of the Association held a number of productive negotiations and meetings. In particular, during the meeting with the President of the Polish Shoe and Leather Council Marek Goretzky, detailed information was provided on the production potential of our country, the conditions created for investors, reforms in the tax and customs areas. Also discussed were initiatives to export women’s and children’s shoes produced in our country to Poland.

In addition, proposals were studied for the development of programs aimed at the implementation of joint projects in small industrial zones created in 16 regions of our republic with the participation of investments from large companies included in this council. The President of the Polish Shoe and Leather Council, in turn, said that as a result of dynamic economic growth in Uzbekistan and reforms in the leather and footwear industry, the demand for our country’s products in new markets is increasing. Therefore, he proposed to establish cooperation efforts in exhibition activities. For this purpose, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Uzcharmsanoat Association and the Polish Shoe and Leather Council.

Also within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations were held with the chairman of the Association of Polish Shoemakers Karol Kudra. The main topic of the dialogue is the development of bilateral cooperation on export-import issues. In addition, the chairman of the Polish Association said that he would take part with the Polish national stand in the international exhibition UzCharmExpo-2023, which will be held in autumn in Tashkent.

Within the framework of the international exhibition Polshoes Footwear Days, the delegation of the Association held negotiations with many European manufacturing enterprises and reached mutually beneficial agreements.
