Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in an international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz som in Bishkek.

The conference was attended by the heads of the central banks of Switzerland, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, the Republic of Belarus and Armenia, as well as the heads of the IMF, World Bank, ADB and EBRD offices in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The conference discussed issues of a sustainable economy and digital transformation of the economy, including the role of monetary policy in the context of economic transformation, digitalization and green finance as a tool for developing a sustainable economy, digitalization in the banking system and the prospects for central banks (digital currency, regulation of financial market, cybersecurity).

The Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mamarizo Nurmuratov acted as a speaker at the session “Global Surge in Inflation and Its Implications for the Fundamentals of Monetary Policy in the Caucasus and Central Asia”.
