A delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in the eleventh meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 November, the eleventh meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states was held in Moscow.

The event was attended by Secretary of the Security Council of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, Head of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehdiyev, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich, Assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Imankulov, Member of the Parliament of Moldova Adrian Albu, Secretary of the Council Russian Security Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan Nasrullo Makhmudzoda, Secretary of the National Security Council of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the XI meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states via videoconference.

During the meeting, current problems of international security in the world and in the CIS were discussed. Issues of practical interaction between countries in bilateral and multilateral formats in the field of security were considered. Special attention is paid to ensuring socio-political stability in the context of growing hybrid threats, prospects for cooperation between states in the field of joint use and protection of water resources, and problems of biological safety.

The meeting showed the open and trusting nature of the joint work of high representatives in charge of security issues in the CIS countries, with the aim of maintaining peace, security and stability in the CIS space.

During the day, the secretaries of the security councils also held bilateral meetings, during which issues of mutual interest were discussed.
