Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from Uzbekistan is on a working visit to the Republic of Korea to study the Korean experience in building a startup ecosystem and stimulating technological development.
In the period from 19 June to 2 July 2022, within the framework of the CCI and KOICA project “Promoting the development of a business incubation system in Uzbekistan”, an introductory training is being held in Asan, Taejon and Seoul.
The main purpose of organizing the trip is to improve the skills of the delegation members in the development of a start-up support system, taking into account Korean best practices, in particular:
- study of Korean legislation and a mechanism to support the launch of innovative business projects;
- increasing the knowledge and experience of participants in organizing the activities of business incubators, accelerators, coworking centers and other elements of the startup ecosystem;
- familiarization with the current state of Korea's economic growth, as well as government policy and strategy in the field of science and modern technology.
As part of the trip, it is planned to visit Sunchunhyang University, a business incubator and an innovation laboratory (Makerspace) at the University, the Korea Institute of Advanced Technology (KAIST), the Gyeonggi Provincial Business Development Center, the Chungnam Provincial Information Technology Industry Agency, the Korea Startup and Enterprise Development Institute, as well as organization of a meeting with representatives of start-up companies of the Republic of Korea.
