A delegation of Uzbekistan is participating in the "Halal Fair Jakarta" tourism fair

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The "Halal Fair Jakarta" tourism fair is taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia these days. Representatives from major companies from across the Muslim world are participating in the event.

In order to promote Uzbekistan's tourism potential in the markets of East Asia, a delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from several tour firms, is participating in the fair with a presentation of a national stand.

During the international fair, members of our delegation will present many new and exciting tourism products. The focus will not only be on traditional tourist destinations but also on promoting the country's gastronomic potential. Visitors to our national stand will have the opportunity to see the skill and taste of Uzbekistan's culinary heritage, including the preparation and presentation of their favorite national dish - pilaf.

A meeting was also organized with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, during which issues related to the development of tourism between the two countries were discussed.

"Uzbekistan's participation in this event is of great importance. The reason is that your country has rendered an invaluable service to the development of Islam. Like in other countries, Indonesians also want to visit the land where such scholars as Al-Bukhariy, At-Termiziy, Nakhshbandi, and Motrudi grew up. Today, our population mainly travels to the UAE and Turkey for vacation. However, the flow to Uzbekistan has been increasing recently. We have prospects for beneficial cooperation with the Uzbek side in organizing quality vacations for the Indonesian people", - said Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

During the meeting, detailed information was provided about Uzbekistan's winter tourism potential, which interests Indonesian residents, and in this regard, the convenience and affordability of visiting Uzbekistan in winter compared to Europe were emphasized.

The "Halal Fair Jakarta" tourism fair will run until 6 August.
