Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov to Vietnam, members of the Uztekstilprom delegation held meetings with representatives of the Youngone, the Bao Minh, the Thai Tuan, the Vietnam Textile and Clothing Association - VITAS.

Vietnamese companies, manufacturers and brands have expressed great interest in expanding cooperation with Uzbek textile manufacturers.

Thus, issues of supplying Uzbek yarn were discussed with manufacturers Youngone and Bao Minh, and the Thai Tuan brand expressed its readiness to open its showroom in Uzbekistan.

At the meeting with VITAS, the leadership of the association, in view of the interest in the conditions presented for investors in the free economic zones of Uzbekistan, undertook to negotiate with manufacturers and investors in Vietnam to establish their activities in the free economic zones.

The parties also agreed that the Vietnamese delegation will participate in the Joint ITMF&IAF Conference in September 2024 in Samarkand.

As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed to increase the volume of mutually beneficial cooperation, ensure and facilitate the participation of manufacturers at exhibitions in Uzbekistan and Vietnam, and ensure mutual contacts with supplier companies, brands and retailers.
