Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 18 April 2023, a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a meeting in Berlin (Germany) with the Central Association of German Crafts as part of a visit on the Institutional Development project.

The Central Association of German Crafts includes 130 professions (construction, electrical and metalworking, wood and plastic products, clothing, textiles, food crafts, the healthcare sector, the chemical industry, cleaning, etc.) that are part of the artisan sector. These are usually small and medium enterprises. At the same time, the number of artisans is 1 million and they are members of the association.

The main purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the activities of the Central Association of German Crafts, in particular in the field of the dual system of vocational education.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of representatives of the Central Association of German Crafts to Uzbekistan in September this year. for the exchange of experience and mutual cooperation.
