The issues of implementing the agreements, reached during the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Oman in October 2009, other aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
It was underscored that the deep-rooted history of traditional links, mutual endeavour to enhancing cooperation in contemporary stage is an important prerequisite for developing Uzbek-Omani dialogue.
A particular attention was paid to interaction in investment sphere, in which a positive experience of mutually beneficial cooperation was jointly accumulated. In this context the Omani side was informed about new opening opportunities at the industrial-economic zones in Navoi and Angren.
The parties exchanged views on realisation of joint cultural-humanitarian projects, as well as on international and regional problems.
The second round of Uzbek-Omani political consultations was held at the same day.
Ambassador of Oman Mohammad bin Said bin Mohammad Al-Lawati attended the events.
