A delegation of Andijan region visits Penza region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Andijan region, led by Deputy Khokim Makhamadjon Nishanov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of Penza region Nikolai Simonov.

Before the negotiations, the Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the Governor’s House, as well as the history of Penza and the province.

Nikolai Simonov emphasized that Penza business is interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan. He spoke about the development of the economy in the Sur region, including the sectors of agriculture, furniture production, confectionery, security technologies and other industries.

The head of the Russian region noted the importance of cooperation in the tourism industry with the Andijan region. “Uzbekistan is a wonderful country. Tourist and cultural exchange between us is at an insufficient level. You are very hospitable, we have many tourist places. I propose to work in this direction,” he said.

The Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the potential of the Bashmakovsky district and the possibilities of interaction in agriculture. The areas of the economy in which cooperation between the Penza and Andijan regions is possible were discussed.

Simonov noted that industrialists of Penza region are showing great interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan. “We are open and ready to cooperate. We have something to offer each other,” Nikolai Simonov emphasized.

Mahamajon Nishanov noted the most positive impressions from Penza. He said that during the visit the delegation plans to meet and communicate with compatriots living in Penza region.

The delegation will stay in Penza region for three days. During this time, guests will get acquainted with the economy, educational system and culture of the region. The delegation will visit Penza enterprises and meet with the heads of the region’s districts.
