Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - During the discussions organized by the Central Bank’s Main Departments in Jizzakh, Samarkand and Surkhandarya Regions, seminars were held to fulfill the tasks identified by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Address of the Oliy Majlis and aimed at improving the efficiency of banking system reforms.

At events held with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank and a number of central office staff, a critical assessment of the activities of commercial banks over the past year was carried out.

In accordance with the tasks defined in the Address of the President of the country, the need to pay special attention to issues is indicated:

-extending the number of banking services centers and improving the quality of services provided in the regions;

- providing support to business entities by increasing the volume of microloans for replenishing working capital and allocating resources for “revolving” and short-term loans;

-extending the quantity and quality of services for the provision of ready-made business projects;

-increase the financial stability of banks and the effective process of organizing the transformation of their activities.
