Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A criminal case has been opened against a man who attacked a female doctor in the city clinical hospital No. 7 in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent under Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov.

The incident was captured on video, which was widely circulated on social media.

According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the young man went to the hospital with complaints of pain when swallowing and other symptoms.

The doctor, after an examination, suggested a referral to a virologist, which displeased the patient and his mother. The situation got out of control and the man attacked the doctor, throwing a chair at her.

A criminal case has been opened and an investigation into this incident is ongoing.
