Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A criminal case has been opened in connection with a fire that occurred at the Tashkent State Agrarian University, located in Tashkent region.
On 30 September, at 8:10 PM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report about a fire in one of the university buildings situated on the campus in the Kibray district.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 8:17 PM.
The fire was localized by 9:36 PM, and full extinguishment was completed by 10:10 PM.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported as a result of the incident.
On 1 October, the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of Tashkent region announced that a criminal case had been initiated under Part 2 of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (violation of fire safety regulations). An investigation is underway.
