A credit-module system to be introduced in technical schools

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government Resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for organizing the educational process in technical schools using the credit-module system.

According to the Regulations, the educational process in technical schools using a credit-modular system is organized in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Educational programs for which the credit-module system will be introduced are determined by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

The duration of the academic year is determined on the basis of the educational program. The amount of credits that a student must accumulate during the academic period includes the compulsory and elective subjects specified in the curriculum.

The student must complete at least 60 credits in one academic year. The volume of teaching load in technical schools is determined based on the curriculum.

In the credit-module system, 1 credit is equivalent to an average of 25-30 academic hours of study load.

In this case, the student must master a certain amount of course load in order to accumulate the corresponding credits in a certain subject.

The teaching load is divided into classroom hours and independent study hours. The educational program is developed for the academic year, taking into account the accumulation by students, as a rule, of 30 credits per semester, 60 credits per academic year.

At the initiative of students with academic debt, retaking existing academic debt is organized at the technical school for a fee during the holidays.
